Cover mock-up and end-paper design for two books by Nathanael West, Miss Lonelyhearts and the Day of the Locust. The books would be hardcover with black bookcloth with white screenprinted text and a square cutout in the middle that allows the endpapers to peek through. I also did full spot illustrations for both books, but that is too tedious to post here. The red is meant to represent suffering.
I love the holes in Day of the Locust.
