New portrait of inventor and designer Buckminster Fuller. I suppose technically he's not a physicist, or a scientist at all even, but he did invent the geodesic dome; certain carbon molecules (C60) were named fullerenes after him due to their resemblance to geodesic spheres... so in a way, he counts. Right?
Shannon, yours is a beautiful, sensitive rendering of Bucky. Lovely to see him from a fresh perspective! The green in the upper right background was actually a color he identified with greatly in the 40s when he was working on the Wichita House. He called himself a Comprehensive Anticipatory Design Scientist so yes, he counts!!! ~ Bonnie DeVarco
