I was bummed to hear of Ruth Asawa's passing this past Monday. She was a super rad lady artist who studied with some of my favorite people, Josef Albers and Buckminster Fuller. Thinking about Black Mountain College makes me wish I'd been born 50 years earlier. Ruth made awesome art and did a lot of good work for the San Francisco arts community. So, here's to you, Ruth.
