Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted here. I find blogging impossibly frustrating and hard to keep up with, so I'll just do a mass update. I have been hired as a full-time illustrator for the San Francisco Chronicle! Here are some highlights from the past 3 months, in no particular order...

Something concerning sunscreen for the Health section...

I'm not really sure what to say about this one. Ran in the Style guide.

Book review illustration for Sorry Please Thank You by Charles Yu.
I'm also in charge of laying out the book review: it's fun trying to connect the illustrations with the layout and content. Here are a few of the layouts I was able to pull:

This one was my first Books cover, designed by Erick Wong

Julia Child!
The books section comes inside the insight section, so sometimes I have double-covers!

I think this kid looks like a young Spock.

I've been waiting for an excuse to put a giant robot in the paper.
I've done a few things for the style section:

Best 100 shops in San Francisco. And I did actually draw 100 different objects!!

Some hand-drawn type, new for me!

Get your shop and drink on with this map of the best menswear shops located near quality bars.

Congrats! I'm just starting my journey in illustration and find you and your work very inspiring. And you're right, blogging is impossible to keep up with.
